The Legion d'Honneur was established in France at the begining of the 19th century by Napoleon Bonaparte.
The version offered is the post 1870 issue which was awarded during both WW1 and WW2. This excellent quality copy of the 3rd Class Commandeur grade is enameled finished in white, blue and green enamel and finished gilt. It is supplied with a length of the correct red ribbon.
