Imperial German 1914 Iron Cross 2nd Class.

The most famous of all German medals and decorations.

The Iron Cross was established by King Friedrich Wilhelm III of Prussia on 17th March 1813 during the Napoleonic Wars. It was re established in 1870 and subsequently in 1914 upon the outbreak of WW1.

This example is die cast in one piece. It has a black painted centre and a pleasing and authentic antiqued silver finish. Supplied with a length of the correct ribbon mounted on a brooch pin.
