The Victoria Cross - vintage museum copy.
The 'VC' is undoubtedly Great Britains most famous decoration. Instituted by Queen Victoria during the Crimean War to reward the most exceptional acts of gallantry and bravery, this coveted award was most recently bestowed for Afghanistan. Genuine examples of this rare decoration are now seldom seen on the market, but The Regalia Specialist has obtained a very small quantity of old museum copies made, we think, in the 1980s or 90s. Die struck in solid bronze and perfectly reproducing The detail of the genuine piece even down to the correct deep bronze patination and correctly mounted onto a length of the famous crimson ribbon.
