WW2 British Army 'Dirty Dozen' Service Watch . Late War style.

These brand new reproduction British Army Service wristwatches are based on the famous 'Dirty Dozen' late war style watch.

Service watches were commonly made for the British Army by Swiss watch manufacturers. We are pleased to offer this faithful copy of the late war style WW2 watch used by the British Army from late 1944 onwards

Each watch has a black dial which is lined around the edge with luminous markings. The main hour and minute hands are also luminous so can easily be read in low light conditions. Beneath the main hands is a smaller dial with a single hand which is used to record seconds. The dial is encased in a silver coloured stainless steel watch housing. It has the correct oversize winder crown found on military watches.

The reverse of the watch case is stamped WWW (which means Watch Wrist Waterproof- although by modern standards the watch is water resistant to 3 ATM) together with a pattern number.

The watch case measures 37mm in diameter. The total width including the crown is 41mm. The total height including the lugs is 42mm. It measures 10mm in thickness including the lens, 7mm not including the lens. It is the same weight as the original watch.

The NATO style webbing band is adjustable. It could be replaced with a leather band if required as the spring bars are easily removable.

The watches are all battery powered with a Quartz movement with a small dial on the side to change the time if required and are supplied in a smart presentation box complete with sculpted recess to safely secure the watch.

These reproduction Army Service watches would make a great addition to your impression or to use as an everyday watch
