Variation S.A.S. Special Air Service metal cap badge insignia

We have a few of these interesting variations of the SAS badge. Each badge is full size measuring 41mm x 21mm. They are die struck in brass with a pale bronze finish. Unusually they are fitted with clutch pins instead of the normal slider or lugs, which makes us think they made be of the SAS of Australia or New Zealand not the UK.

The badges have a lacquered finish on the front but the reverse of the badges are not lacquered and are therefore a little tarnished.
