WWI Imperial German Airship Zeppelin Commemorative Breast Badge.

This award was created during or just after WWI as a 'TRADITION' badge. This superb quality example is die struck from a silver alloy of some sort and has a pleasing patinated antique finish.

This Full Size award is of 2 piece construction with the airship being soldered to the wreath. It is fitted with a German style semi-flat needle pin. This jeweller quality award has been beautifully hand finished - please see photos.

The badge weighs 49g, and measures 48mm x 70mm.
