Autobahn Construction Honour Award Lapel Badge. ORIGINAL QUALITY.
This award was given to persons who were to be honoured for their part in the development of the world's first motorways. It was was presented to those engineers and architects who were most closely associated with the planning and the installation of the Autobahn. This is a lapel sized version of the award, in this instance commemorating completion of 2000kms of road. It is solid silver and measures about 30mm x 20mm. The reverse is marked with silver content and maker's marks of Deschler & Sohne.
