German Horse Drivers Badge in Bronze HIGHEST QUALITY
This award was instituted in 1930 and was subsequently sanctioned as a National award by Adolf Hitler. There were three grades- Bronze, Silver and Gold. The Bronze grade was awarded for success in trotting competitions. The version offered is die stuck in solid bronze and finished with a pleasing patinated finish. The reverse bears the maker's mark 'L. CHR LAUER NURNBERG-BERLIN'. It is fitted with the correct straight flat pin used by Lauer on these badges. An attractive and rarely seen badge.
