ANTIQUED Imperial German WWI Blue Max Pour Le Merite in Kaiser presentation case.
The Kaiser's and Imperial Germany's highest award for bravery.
This excellent quality FULL SIZE antiqued replica of this iconic decoration is enameled on both sides in light blue as per the genuine item, and then finished in gold plate. Note that the enamel is domed and not ground flat like on cheaper copies.
The eagles between the arms of the cross are clipped out and even the extra engraving on the wording 'Pour Le Merite' has been reproduced.
This example has been carefully antiqued to give it an extra special authentic look.
Offered complete with suspension loop and a length of the correct black and silver woven ribbon all contained in a fitted special 'Kaiser' presentation case. The case is covered in dark blue leatherette with a representation of the Blue Max blocked in matt gold on the lid. The velvet lined base has a sculpted recess for the award and a separate compartment for the ribbon. The cream lining to the lid is printed 'Der Dank Meines Kaisers'. With brass push button catch.
