British Distinguished Flying Medal or DFM GVI issue

The Distinguished Flying Medal (DFM) was established on 3 June 1918 and awarded to personnel of the R.A.F. and Commonwealth Air Forces, below commissioned rank, for "exceptional valour, courage or devotion to duty whilst flying in active operations against the enemy". During WW2 it was awarded primarily to members of bomber crews but also to N.C.O. fighter pilots and other aircrew of non commissioned rank.

We are delighted to offer for sale this excellent full sized museum copy of the WW2 GVI issue D.F.M. It has been die struck to the specification of the original, finished in antiqued silver plate. The antique finish can be removed with autosol or similar metal polish. Complete with a length of the correct unique woven ribbon.

The replica British Army, Royal Navy and Royal Air Force WW1 and WW2 gallantry or military campaign medals and decorations offered by The Regalia Specialist are full size awards made to original specifications, being die struck from steel dies and are supplied with a length of the correct ribbon.
