Italian Fascist Medal for the March on Rome.

The March on Rome (Marcia su Roma) was an organized mass demonstration in October 1922, which resulted in Mussolinis Fascist Part (Partito Nazionale Fascista, or PNF) acceding to power in the Italy. In late October 1922, Fascist Party leaders planned an insurrection, to take place on 28 October. The day after the fascist blackshirts entered Rome, the king appointed Mussolini as Prime Minister.

This bronze medal was struck and issued to those Fascist Party members who participated in the March On Rome. It is supplied complete with the correct ribbon woven in the colours of the Roman flag.

This example has traces of engraving on the reverse.
