R.A.F. WW2 Style Pilots Service Watch ' The Airman Pilots Watch ' A.M. 6B/159 with Blue strap

A beautiful reproduction timepiece modelled on the famed WW2 Air Ministry 6B/159 Watch which was originally intended for use by RAF Navigators during WW2. The original WW2 issue watches were made by Omega, Longines and JLC and conformed to a specification calling for a watch with a white dial, black Arabic numerals, central seconds, non-luminous dark hands and chrome or stainless steel case.

The watch features dual quartz movement, battery operated. The silver-cream dial features the R.A.F. Motto 'Per ardua ad Astra' and 'Ailager' branding and the case back is stamped with the 6B/159 watch designation. It is fitted with an adjustable PU leather strap that has an attractive textured finish.

'The Airman Pilots Watch' is 3 ATM waterproof, so splash and rain resistant, great for daily life, but don't go showering, swimming, or deep sea diving while wearing it! Each watch comes with its own branded duck egg green coloured box - the colour used on the undersides of Spitfires and Hurricanes during the Battle of Britain. The box has a slide out draw that displays the timepiece against a sleek golden yellow felt padding.
