This was The Kaiser and Imperial Germanys highest award for bravery, famous for its association with the famous German flying Aces of the Great War, notably Manfred von Richhofen 'The Red Baron'. This excellent quality replica of this iconic decoration is enameled on both sides in blue as per the genuine item and then finished in gold plate.
The eagles between the arms of the cross are clipped out and even the extra engraving on the wording 'Pour Le Merite' has been reproduced.
Offered complete with suspension loop and a length of the correct black and silver woven ribbon.
