German WWII Childrens Book 'Soldaten: Wenn die Soldaten durch die Stadt Marschieren'

The German children's classic book published in 1942 after noted illustrator Herbert Rothgängel made 14 colored drawings to accompany the Hermann Siegmann poem by the same name. It was an instant war-time hit among grade school age children who got a chance to see their troops and equipment pass in review, and to fantasize about being soldiers themselves. 16 pages with the 14 original drawings and covers reproduced in full color. 13.5 x 16.5cm
