German WWII Field Marshall Erwin Rommel Formal dress baton.

The first of the Third Reich period Field Marshall Batons was on April 20, 1936, to Werner von Blomberg. Hitler promoted Erwin Rommel to the rank of Field marshall on 22 June 1942 after the capture of Tobruk.

The full dress or 'Formal' Field marshalls Baton was usually carried during parades and investitures and other state occasions.
This incredible reproduction of Erwin Rommel's baton is finished to the high standard with incredible attention to detail. This full length 50cm baton measures 3.5cm in diameter. the aluminium core is covered with bright red velvet and is fitted with 20 gold plated eagles and 20 silver plated iron crosses. The top pommel bears a gold plated eagle and the bottom pommel a silvered Iron Cross, it has two inscription rings, one at each end, reading " Der Fuhrer dem Generalfeldmarschall Rommel" and "Zum Freiheitskampf des Grossdesutsches Volkes 22 Juni 1942."
Supplied complete in its fitted black leatherette covered case with the "GENERALFELDMARSCHALL ERWIN ROMMEL" foil blocked on the top.
