American U.S. Army 100th Airborne Division sleeve patch (Sons of Bitche).

'The Sons of Bitche' were engaged in the European theatre of operations in 1944-45, specifically in the Moselle and Vosge regions. The Division took its name from the town of Bitche, which it successfully defended during the battle of the Bulge.

This patch is dated from 1946 to 1952 when Division was briefly redesignated the 100th Airborne Division.

Fully embroidered with correct raw un-merrowed edge. With Airborne tab - also with merrowed edge.
