This is an ORIGINAL United States Army issue patch. Fully embroidered with correct merrowed edge.

This particular insignia only existed for a very short period of time, and therefore examples are difficult to find.

The design of the patch is based on the WWII 'Merrills Marauders Special Forces' insignia.

This is a genuine new 'old stock issue' U.S. Army patch and came from a dated storage box. Correct Schiffli period embroidery. In mint unissued condition.
