WW2 USAF B29 Hiroshima Atomic Bomb 509th Bomb Group. Memorabillia Set

This interesting grouping of reproduction memorabillia relating to the Atomic Bomb dropped on Hiroshima in August 1945, consists of the following 8 items:

Copies of the official orders authorising the deployment of the nuclear bomb (2 sheets). These re-prints of the two orders are printed on authentic looking simulated aged paper, and each measure 30cm x 21.5cm.

Copy of the printed B29 Superfortress take off and landing Check List. Printed on correct yellow thin card.

WW2 Manhattan Project Cloth Sleeve Patch. Worn by personnel involved in the Manhattan Nuclear Bomb project at Los Alamos. This WW2 style patch is fully embroidered on old machines and has the typical early raw un-merrowed edge. It measures 62mm x 46mm.

WW2 U.S.A.F. 509th C.G. 58th Wing ENOLA GAY Nuclear Bomber cloth patch. Worn by members of the 509 Composite Group of the 58th Wing which was activated in December 1944 and commanded by Lt. Colonel Paul W. Tibbets. This large patch is embroidered in cotton on blue drill. Authentic aged appearance.  It measures 117mm in diameter.

WWII United States U.S Army Air Force sleeve patch. Fully embroidered on old machines in full colour with the typical early WW2 raw un-merrowed edge. This fine quality patch measures 62mm in diameter.

WW2 B-29 Metal Bulkhead Data Plate for the Enola Gay. Reproduction Glenn Martin built Boeing B-29 Superfortress Data Plate specific to the Enola Gay. This accurate and nicely executed data plate measures 100mm x 73mm. It is stamped from satin aluminium with a black finish. The aircraft specifics are stamped into the metal.

WW2 pattern United States Army Air Force PILOT wings FULL SIZE. As worn by Pilot's of the U.S. Army Air Corps. These nice quality pin back WW2 style wings are hollow stamped and have an antiqued silvered finish. They measure 75mm across.
