Imperial German Grand Commanders Cross of the House Order of Hohenzollern with out swords.

Originally created in 1841 to reward outstanding merit, it ranked above the Iron Cross and was a pre requisite for the award of the Pour Le Merite.
This example of the Commanders neck cross consists of a large double sided gilt and enamel badge measuring 60mm across, surmounted by a gilt Prussian crown.

A lovely quality replica of this quite beautiful award.
