Luftwaffe Pilot/Observer badge with diamonds

Luftwaffe Pilot Observer Badge with diamonds.

The Luftwaffe Diamond issue of the Pilot/ Observer Badge was introduced by Hermann Göring in 1935.
Its recipients were extremely varied, ranging from the German military elite including Erwin Rommel, Wolfram von Richthofen and Göring himself, to Finnish Commander-in-Chief Baron von Mannerheim and Italian leader Benito Mussolini. It features the bejewelled eagle clutching the swastika at the centre, framed by a laurel and oakleaf wreath.
Complete with makers name on reverse and flat pin, this high quality replica has a semi-matt gilt wreath and silver eagle, bejewelled with imitation diamonds. Correct two-piece, riveted construction.

The WWII German military Wehrmacht combat badges and breast awards offered by the Regalia Specialist are made to the most exacting standards whilst still providing excellent value for money. Where possible original Third Reich period tools and dies obtained from Germany in the 1980's are used and traditional European manufacturing techniques are employed. We believe that that small touches like authentic pin fixings and original style finishes will enhance the enjoyment of these items and these litte extras are offered wherever possible.
