This equestrian award was introduced in April 1930 in three classes as a recognition of proficiency in horsemanship. The Silver grade is die cast with an dull silver finish. Complete with the correct German style hinge and full makers name on the reverse. Although a civilian award this badge was often awarded sericemen to an worn on the military uniform. Notable recipients included Reinhard Heydrich.
