WW2 German Demjansk Battle Shield (Demjanskchild ).
Instituted on 25th April 1943 to the Army Waffen S.S. defenders of the small town of Demjansk in Russia. Also to members of the Luftwaffe supplying the besieged town. Antique silvered finish. Complete with steel backing plate and a piece of field grey cloth backing material.
