Werwolf or Wehrolf enamel pin.

The insignia of the Werwolf or Wehrwolf resistance movement created in 1945 at the behest of Josef Goebbels. It was intended that members of these Wehrwolf units should operate behind allied lines as saboteurs after the conventional german forces had retreated on surrenderd. This small bronze lapel badge is enameled in black and red and has a brooch pin.

We have purchased a small quantity of these badges. They are all slightly tarnished. The amount of tarnishing varies a little from badge to badge but will easily clean off if required. The enamel is all intact. The reverse is impressed with a maker's or copyright mark.
