The Luftwaffe Pilot's badge was awarded to qualified aviator pilots of the German Airforce. Introduced in 1935, the Pilots badge was awarded on completion of the necessary practical and theoretical flight training to become a Pilot in the Luftwaffe.
A good quality die-cast late war style zinc piece with a really nice aged finish. 2 piece rivetted construction. With makers mark 'A' for Assmann & Sohn and original late style steel needle pin. A really authentic looking badge.
