GENUINE WWII U.S. Army XV ARMY CORPS cloth sleeve patch - 15th Corps NORMANDY.

This Corps was involved in the Normandy Landings active in the European theatre of WW2.

XV Corps took part in the July 1944 ' OPERATION COBRA ' breakout from Normandy, and subsequently liberated Le Mans on 8 August 1944. Seizing a bridgehead over the Seine River on 20 August 1944, the corps then mopped up German resistance along its west bank.

This is an ORIGINAL WARTIME United States Army issue patch. Fully embroidered with correct raw un-merrowed edge.

In mint un-issued condition. 64mm in diameter.
