WW2 German Demjansk Battle Shield (Demjanskchild in Silber). EXCEPTIONAL AGED FINISH.
Instituted on 25th April 1943 to the Army Waffen S.S. defenders of the small town of Demjansk in Russia. Also to members of the Luftwaffe supplying the besieged town. Antique silvered finish. Complete with steel backing plate.
This original quality example of the Demjansk battle Shield is Badge is of exceptionally high quality. This is the early War style made with higher quality materials and exhibiting exceptionally fine detail. The shield is die struck i using the correct gauge material from original tools and dies. It is attached to the steel backing plate by means of 4 hard soldered prongs . The award has really authentic and pleasing antiqued finish.
