This highly coveted badge was worn on the left breast by experienced German army mountain troops who qualified as mountain guides. Measuring 55mm x 45mm, this attractive two piece metal badge is finished silvered bronze with green, white and black enamel. Marked on the reverse with the makers name 'Deschler & Sohn Munchen' and complete with brooch pin fitting.
