Luftwaffe Day Fighter Clasp - Bronze.

The Luftwaffe flying clasps were inaugurated in January of 1941, to recognise the number, as well as type of operational flights a pilot had undertaken. This particular clasp would have been awarded to pilots of short range fighters for day flights. This is the Bronze class of the clasp, and denotes that the pilot has flown over 20 operational flights.

This metal clasp is finished in bronze, with the central device of the clasp, a winged arrow, pointing away from the swastika on the wreath in an antique silver finish. The reverse of the clasp has the correct flat type pin and has the makers initials in relief.

The WWII German military Wehrmacht Luftwaffe combat badges and breast awards offered by the Regalia Specialist are made to the most exacting standards whilst still providing excellent value for money. Where possible original Third Reich period tools and dies obtained from Germany in the 1980's are used and traditional European manufacturing techniques are employed. We believe that that small touches like authentic pin fixings and original style finishes will enhance the enjoyment of these items and these litte extras are offered wherever possible.
