Azad Hind or Free India medal in Bronze

The decorations of Azad Hind were instituted by Subhas Chandra Bose while in Germany, initially for the Indian Legion, to be awarded for gallantry in the field of battle. Both Indians and Germans were eligible for the decorations. The awards were manufactured in Germany.

This nice quality example of the medal is made from sold bronze and hase a pleasing patinated finish. The suspension ring is marked with a makers code number. It is supplied with a length of the correct (and hard to obtain) orange white and green ribbon.
