These shields are die struck from heavy gauge brass and fitted with nut and bolt fittings suitable for affixing to the famous 'Trophelm' or cork helmet issued to the Afrika Korps. For the Army both the eagle and national tricolour shields are in a silvered finish with red and black paint.

The Third Reich German military Wehrmacht metal uniform badges offered by The Regalia Specialist are either die struck pieces in brass or nickel or die cast late war style insignias in zinc. Many are manufactured in Europe using original WWII tools and dies that were obtained from the factories in Germany during the 1980's . Where possible, traditional manufacturing techniques that were employed during the Third Reich are replicated.
