Prussian Order of the Red Eagle 2nd Class with Swords.

One of Prussias most famous awards, the 'Roter Adlerorden' was bestowed on officers and higher-ranking officials during WW1. This is the 2nd Class variant of the award, awarded to many Prussian Officers, such as General der Infanterie Otto von Below and Vice Admiral Franz von Hipper, German Hero of the Battle of Jutland.
This example of the 2nd Class award is die struck and finished in enamel and silver plate and comes complete with a black and silver ribbon. Although the award was normally presented with a white and orange ribbon, combat awards were conferred with a black and white ribbon similar to that of the Iron Cross. This is the combat version of the award and therefore comes with the appropriate ribbon.

The Imperial German WW1 gallantry decorations and military campaign medals offered by The Regalia Specialist are full size awards being die struck and carefully finished as closely as possible to original specifications.
