Special Air Service (S.A.S.) enamel lapel pin gilt.

This nice quality enamelled lapel pin measures 34mm x 19mm. It is finished in gold plate and blue enamel and has a convenient clutch back fitting.

The S.A.S. began its existence as a commando unit operating in the north African desert during WWII. It has subsequently evolved into one of the most elite special force units in the world, specializing in anti terrorist and counter insurgency operations.
