WWII German or British 'Half Crown' Spy Coin GEORGE V
These hollow coins were, and still are, used by agents to carry data either in the form of coded messages, which are concealed in a hollow compartment. It is assumed that such a coin would have been of the type used by Axis agents active in Britain during and prior to WW2.
This original British Half Crown was expertly precision hand-machined from two actual coins to create a secret interior compartment. Once closed, it is absolutely indistinguishable from a regular coin to the naked eye. It can be handled normally without any chance of an accidental opening. The coin is supplied with an opening device is supplied, without which it's next to impossible to open up the coin.
This is an old vintage pre 1945 coin and will show some wear- dates will vary between 1921 and 1945.
