ASSMANN MARKED SUPERIOR QUALITY LATE WAR TYPE WITH EXCEPTIONAL AGED FINISH

The Luftwaffe Observers Badge was awarded to qualified observers, navigators and bomb aimers of the German Airforce. Introduced in 1936, the Observers badge was awarded on completion of 2 months service in a non operational squadron or participation in five operational flights.

A good quality die-cast late war style zinc piece with a really nice aged finish. 2 piece rivetted construction. With makers mark 'A' for Assmann & Sohn and original late style needle pin. A really authentic looking badge.
