SPANISH DECORATION FOR SPANISH VOLUNTERS IN RUSSIA - SPECIAL OFFICERS ISSUE.
This was the Official Spanish award for members of the Blue Division who fought alongside the German Army in Russia during WWII. We have acquired a few examples of the special OFFICERS version of this decoration. The officers version is higher quality that the man's issue being quite thick and manufactured with a very high silver content metal. The medal has the correct painted Iron Cross centre and a pleasing antiqued finish. Complete with a length original vintage ribbon which incorprorates the German and Spanish national colours. A limited number available. A very fine piece.
