German Horse Drivers Badge in Silver. HIGHEST QUALITY- REAL SILVER.

This award was instituted in 1930 and was subsequently sanctioned as a National award by Adolf Hitler. There were three grades- Bronze, Silver and Gold. The Silver grade was awarded for success in tournement competitions. The version offered is die stuck in solid SILVER and finished with a pleasing patinated finish. The reverse bears the maker's mark 'L. CHR LAUER NURNBERG-BERLIN'. It is fitted with the correct straight flat pin used by Lauer on these badges which is stamped with the the '800' silver proof mark.. Dimensions 39 x 49mm.
